Princeton Welcome Center

Located off exit 7 from Interstate 77, the Princeton Welcome Center is your gateway to the picturesque Appalachian Mountains. Here, you'll find:

  • Visitor information services to help plan your adventure
  • Spacious parking for all vehicles

The Princeton Welcome Center proudly presents a Vietnam Memorial Monument surrounded by beautiful gardens to honor our veterans.

Canyon Rim Visitor Center – Lansing

For travelers exploring the New River Gorge area, the Visitor Center is the hub for all information about the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. The back deck of the center overlooks the gorge. Or go outside to the observation decks to witness the beauty and wonders of the natural world in West Virginia. It is open year-round, so you can witness the leaves change in autumn and the first snowfall of winter.

Cranberry Mountain Nature Center

RVers and roadtrippers love to stop at the Cranberry Mountain Nature Center. With exhibits, an auditorium, a native plant garden and nature trail, people of all ages can find something to enjoy here. If you are here for just a quick stop, the center has restrooms and a water station.

Important Information: The Cranberry Mountain Nature Center is CLOSED during the winter and fall season. It reopens mid-April through Mid-October from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursdays through Mondays. It is located at the intersection of Route 39/55 and WV-150.

I-79 Meadowbrook Rest Area - Mile 123

The Meadowbrook rest area has 17 truck parking spots for commercial vehicles, ADA and family restroom facilities, picnic tables, and an RV dump for your convenience. It can be accessed northbound and southbound.

TravelCenters of America – Wheeling

Located off I-70 at Dallas Pike at exit 11, the Wheeling TravelCenters of America is a go-to stop for truckers. The Wheeling location has everything. The Country Pride restaurant is open every day from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Commercial truck drivers can stop here overnight in one of the 168 spaces Wheeling offers. TravelCenters of America has a STAYFIT fitness room, basketball hoop, horseshoe pit and bean bag toss. For entertainment, there’s a casino, video game terminal, and driver’s lounge.

It also contains:

  • Reserved parking
  • Over 15 truck services

Service hours are 24/7, 365 days a year.

Before embarking on your West Virginia adventure, plan your rest stops ahead of time. Confirm their availability and any specific regulations to ensure a seamless travel experience. Having alternate rest areas in mind is advisable in case your preferred stop is temporarily unavailable.
